Editorial Policy

Ad Calculator Hub publishes calculators, benchmarks and explainers that advertisers, publishers and growth teams rely on to make budget decisions. This page describes how we research, write, review and maintain that content so readers can judge its trustworthiness.

Sources we use

  • Public benchmark reports from Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising, WordStream, Statista and industry associations (IAB, MRC).
  • First-party data shared by advertisers and publishers in our network, aggregated and anonymised.
  • Product documentation from major ad platforms for formula definitions and metric semantics.

How our calculators are built

Every calculator uses the industry-standard formula for its metric — CPM = (Cost ÷ Impressions) × 1000, CPC = Cost ÷ Clicks, ROAS = Revenue ÷ Ad Spend, and so on. Calculations run entirely in your browser; we do not send inputs to a server, store them, or share them with third parties.

Review process

New pages are drafted by a marketing analyst, reviewed by a senior digital-advertising specialist for accuracy of formulas and benchmarks, and copy-edited before publication. Substantive changes to benchmark ranges are versioned with a "Last updated" date.

Update cadence

  • Calculator logic: reviewed whenever a platform changes its metric definition.
  • Benchmarks: refreshed at least once per quarter.
  • Explainer content: reviewed at least once a year, or sooner when the ad landscape shifts materially.

Corrections

If you spot an error in a formula, benchmark or example, email us via the contact page. We correct verified issues within five business days and note the change on the affected page.

Independence and disclosure

We do not accept payment to change benchmark figures, calculator logic or editorial recommendations. The site is supported by display advertising (see our privacy policy) which is served independently of editorial decisions.
